Onboarding your organization
Quoting and end-user onboarding require a KYB-approved org. This guide walks the dashboard-first flow: log in to orchestration.seismic.systems, submit the unified KYB form, finish hosted verification.
The same surface is exposed under /orgs but requires an API key, which requires an org, so initial setup is dashboard-only.
Step 1: Sign up
Create an individual account at orchestration.seismic.systems with email + password, then enable MFA. (See Authentication for the underlying flow.)
Step 2: Create an org
Create an org with a display name (e.g. "Acme Inc."). The signup user becomes the org's owner.
To create additional orgs, use the org switcher (top-left). All resources (keys, customers, KYB profile, quotes) are isolated per org.
Step 3: Submit the unified KYB profile
The KYB form collects the superset of fields needed for verification: company details, addresses, beneficial owners, jurisdiction, funds-movement context.
The form mirrors the subsections of the API reference:
- Business identity (legal name, entity type, tax id, formation date) and primary contact
- Addresses (registered + optional physical)
- Disclosures (business classifications and regulated activities)
- Funds (historical source of funds, regulated status, account purpose, and the monthly revenue and volume figures, exact rather than bucketed)
- Associated persons (UBOs, control persons, signers)
- Supplemental information (free-form text notes and supplemental documents for responding when review requests more information)
Save partial progress at any time: each save is a PUT /org/kyb/profile, so the draft lives server-side and survives a closed tab. When you click Submit, the dashboard sends one final PUT /org/kyb/profile followed by POST /org/kyb/submit, and the org enters the submitted state.
Step 4: Finish hosted verification
Verification runs partly programmatically and partly via a hosted session for ID verification + document upload. The dashboard's KYB status panel shows:
- Current status:
submitted,under_review,approved,rejected,terminally_rejected, orpaused. SeeKybStatus. - A "Continue KYB" button when there's a hosted link to follow.
- A "Resync" button if you just finished a session and want immediate feedback.
This panel is backed by GET /org/kyb/state. The buttons call refresh-link and resync under the hood.
Step 5: Mint an API key
API keys can be minted as soon as the org exists. Read-only and key-management endpoints work immediately. Quoting, customer creation, and account creation require KYB-approved status.
Settings → API keys → New key. The secret is shown once. From here:
- Onboarding your end users
- Requesting quotes
- Poll KYB status via API:
curl "$SEISMIC_ORCHESTRATION_URL/v0/org/kyb/state" \
-H "Api-Key: $SEISMIC_ORCHESTRATION_API_KEY"Or via the TypeScript SDK: await api.orgs.kyb.state().
Next
- API reference → Orgs: full org-management surface.
- API reference → KYB: every KYB profile field.
- API keys: programmatic mint / rotate / revoke.
